One can walk with no problems at all in this area and enjoy also the centre of natural science which is in Galceti just 10 minutes away from the B&B.

Description

The proteced area is the result of a nature modification
effected by the humans.
The Monteferrato area has always been populated by human
and productive activities.
Close by Galceti were recently found some signs which testify
the human presence already since 30-40 thousand years ago.
Many signs show us that the Etruscan did live here.
In recent times ( XIX century) a lot of very important people
came to the Monteferrato area  and amongst them many
macchiaoli artists, who were guest of the Villa del Barone
a patron of art.

Flora and fauna

Over 900 different varieties of trees and flowers are visible in the Montefrerrato area.
Also the faunistic aspect is rather relevant as u can see  dears, roe-bucks, and the wild boar.
amongst the small animals besides a variety of birds  u can also see the stone-marten, the fox, the polecat.
Some eagles have also been seen flying over the Monteferrato.
